It will be no suprise to everyone, that my girls are truely best friends. They give sisters a whole new meaning. They are only 21 months apart and I think that is what makes them so close.
Well, we learned this weekend that not only are they best of friends, but our 4 year old has taken on a new role here in the mountain household. That role would be Life Coach. You may think that is a young age to take on such a big role? Let’s not jump to conclusions now and judge ;).
First consult as Life Coach:
Big Sis had received a nasty blister from a new pair of jelly shoes. Big Sis proceeded to say she should wear socks the next time she wore the jelly shoes.
Little Sis looks at Big sis and says: Now, that’s the spirit Big Sis.
Hubbs and I just looked at each other in amazement.
Second consult:
Big Sis was picking out her clothes to put on for Awanna tonight and Little Sis realized she picked out a matching skirt and shirt. Little Sis looks at Big Sis and says: Big Sis you rock with that matching outfit.
I think she has took on this role of Life Coach pretty well ;). You know we have always here in this household try to be positive and uplifting to the girls. Trying to remind them that bad things do happen, but let’s see how we can put a positive spin on that bad. Now, I can see our girls are picking up this. With L saying both of these comments this weekend, just gives me all warm fuzzy feelings all over. When I went to pick them up from their Awanna class tonight, they both come off the elevator holding hands and smiling ear to ear. Can it get any better than that?

Awww too cute. Mine do the same thing. They hold hands when we are out and cheer each other on and encourage each other. They do amaze us with how grown up they are don’t they. You both are certainly great examples to them.

Yep, my girls are almost 20 months apart and have been best buds most of their lives. Still are during their teen years and there’s nothing better. Your girls sound like such sweeties — like their mommy!

I absolutely loved reading this, it really made me smile. I am the father of 3 daughters (and another on the way) and I love the way they support and care for each other. Coming from a family of all boys where we fought all the time, it is such a nice contrast.
