My First Time On A Game Show
Here in the high country we have our own game show. I have been a watcher for a while now and was so excited to be asked to be a contestant thanks to my oldest brother Wes :). I had such a great time and loved I got to talk about being a mommy blogger! Thanks to my family and to Cindy and her family for coming out to cheer me on. Here is some pictures from the big night. I will attach the video below so you can watch my first gig at fame :).
Sneak Peek of the final outcome 🙂
So would you like my autograph now hehe? ;). For real though, I am so glad I got this opportunity and had a blast taping this. If you are ever in the High Country, you should go to a live taping or even be a contest on Sqrambled Scuares.
I Met My First Weightloss Goal See Pictures
As most of you know, I have been on a weight loss journey for a few months. Being on this journey has given me so much more self confidence and has brought out a whole new me. It is so wonderful to have support from family and friends too. Just hearing encouraging words and congratulation words brings a big smile to my face.
Last night at Weight Watchers, I was recognized for meeting my first goal that was set for me when I first started. I of course was grinning ear to ear when I was gave my gold keychain. This journey has been a wild one, but nothing I wouldn’t do over again. I got to publicly thank in the meeting last night the person that has helped me through all the good times and bad times on this weight loss. She was rewarded with a bravo star for this :). Love ya girl! Just like the leader said last night, it helps so much for having someone stick with you and let you know they are there for you. It helps make the weight loss so much easier.
I am very happy to also announce that I am partnering with NewBaby.com and Vlogging my weight loss success with them to help other moms with this great lifestyle change. I will also be doing reviews with them as well. So stay tuned to that.
I will post my first video with them at the bottom of the post. Now, I want to show you right now two pictures that will portray my weight loss of 31 pounds so far! The first is a picture of me at my highest weight last summer, right when I moved to NC from Florida. The second picture was taken today to show off my progress.
It’s such a great feeling to share this! I do have to share and say, the way we eat has changed so much. I do way more cooking now and love to change up the recipes to make them my own. Each week brings something new and I haven’t had a meal yet the family does not like. The best part… they are all healthy but still ohhhhh soooo delicious. I’ll be sharing some of the recipes with you so you can try them out. Also, they are very easy recipes because YES, I do know we are all busy and don’t have time to spend two hours in the kitchen ;).
I’ll leave you now with my first Vlogging video with NewBaby.com
Every Little Girl’s Dream Contest
As a mom, I love seeing my girls having such a big imagination. They love to do ballet through the house and love going to watch Ballets. They just love to dance… not sure where they got that trait from haha ;).
The wonderful moms over at With Love ‘n Care gave me the opportunity to review their uniquely designed Tutus. Are they not just the cutest from the picture above? With Love ‘n Care was created by stay-at-home moms who enjoyed making and creating handmade gifts for our friends and family. Soon, they were being asked by friends and family to make items for them to give as gifts as well. With this overwhelming response, they decided to form their own business, With Love ‘n Care.  Everything that you see on their website is handmade by them. They are so grateful for the opportunity to stay at home with their children, and still be able to pursue the passions that they love–sewing and creating custom gifts.
I love how they are so detailed in their products and will work with the individual to custom any order that you would like. I know too since it is homemade, that each stitch was done with love and will last a really long time for that special girl in your life. They can make tutus to match party colors, team colors, or holiday colors. Also, they design bows to match along with the tutus.
Tutus and bows are just a couple of the products they design and create. They also make dresses in which I am going to have them design two for my girls for Easter Sunday. I love the ribbon tops that adds just the right sassiness my girls love when they get to dress up. Also, these would look so cute with a top under the dress and a pair of leggings. Just beautiful.
With Love ‘n Care would like to give you the opportunity to have your very own tutu for free for that special girl in your life. You will get to pick the colors and the size that you would like.
All you need to do is visit the site and pick which color you would like then leave me a comment below. To get extra entries subscribe to our feed and tweet about this contest. Each one will be worth an extra entry. You can tweet daily if you would like. Just make sure to leave me a comment below to let me know you did, so I can put in your extra entry. We will take entries till Feb. 27, 2009 at 11:59pm EST.
Is Flu A New Annual Tradition
This is too ironic. As we sat in the ER yesterday, I was trying to think back to last year when we all had the Flu. I knew it had to be around the same time. I came home yesterday evening and looked at my blog posts from last year and this post and this post left me saying REALLY? My my… we had the flu on the same exact date and went to the ER the same day. I’m surprised the ER didn’t mention it as well.
Honestly, I breathed a sigh of relief when he came in and said it was the flu. L had me beyond scared. She went from bad to worse in like a 10 minutes time frame. Just continuously vomiting and running a really high fever, eyes rolling and kept saying everything hurt. After the flu test and some blood work, the dr came in turned the TV off and was all serious like. He said I have some news. Yes, my heart just dropped. Then he said “She has tested positive for Influenza A” I actually breathed a sigh of relief. We can deal with the flu. Also, L is so easy to bounce back from everything. I learn from her everyday. She has been through so much, yet she is the fastest kid I have ever seen to bounce back and doing her crazy faces to make you smile. That’s my girl :).
We will get through it and I thank all my family and friends for your prayers. God is sooooo good isn’t he? :).
Tonight, I make my big debut with the gameshow. I will report back to you that I won tonight haha. ;).
