On The Move Again

I feel like that title has been my song description of my life since year 2008 has began. With the moves from Florida to NC, then NC back to Florida times 2, needless to say I am tired of the moving and the stress that comes with moving.

I do have to say I am finally excited to have my family back again under our own roof and be a family again instead of us living at my mom and dad’s.

Hubbs and my dad are in Florida now at our house loading up all our stuff for the moving truck. Then it will be on to this beautiful outlook each and every day. I know the girls are going to have a blast on these hills 🙂

Please wish us luck and pray for us this will all go well and we can finally be settled and have a less stressful life going on.

Moms I Need Your Help

Ok.. moms I need your wonderful ideas. I got a call tonight to ask if I would sponsor a bible school snack next week. I of course agreed. Now… here is where the help comes into play.

I will need to feed 80 little kids and I want it to be healthy of course and not too expensive. HAHAHA… Is there such a thing? Now the lady who called, God Bless her but she said oh you can just bring bunch of boxes of little debbies. UMMM… No I don’t think so ;).

So come on moms help me. I know I have several moms that read here everyday and do not comment, so please come out of lurkedom and comment. I promise I will not bite you ;). I would just like to hear from all that is reading and plus I neeeeeeeeeeeed your ideas 🙂

OMG Look at that Kick

I always knew my Madisyn was going to really be into sports since she was around a year old. She is finally old enough to begin sports and so I signed her up for soccer camp since she would start playing on a team in August. She has been on cloud nine all day long. Every few minutes I kept hearing… “Mom is it time to go yet?”

We got her dressed and she had the biggest cheesiest grin ever!

Then we walk over and they give her very own soccer ball to her. Of course this made her day even brighter!

I of course was the mommy out there taking ten million picts of her every move. Hey my daughter was a superstar in my eyes ;). She has never played soccer before, but I think she did very good with her moves.

All the while Madisyn was having fun on the field though… Little sister Lyndsee was not too happy. These girls are really joined at the hip. Lyndsee did not like that her sister was out there playing with other kids and not her. We got in the van to go grab a bite to eat while they were doing the soccer camp and Lyndsee kept saying “Mommy I miss Madisyn” over and over. It broke my heart. They truly are super close.

Tomorrow they will play their actual game and I am super excited to see how well Madisyn does :). Can I say I am a soccer mom now? hehe

What Was I Doing 10 Years Ago?

I was living my summer up as I was fixing to embark on my last year of highschool. So it was filled with working as Office Assistant at Food Lion grocery store and hanging out at the lake on my boyfriend’s jet ski!

5 Things On My To-Do List Today:

Prepare breakfast for the girls and I
Get Madisyn’s soccer things ready for her first day of Soccer Camp
Run to the grocery store
Help the girl’s do their homemade Father’s Day Cards
Take Madisyn to soccer camp

Snacks I Enjoy:

Fresh Cherries on a Stem
Cantaloupe
Broccoli and Cauiflower with Homemade Ranch Dip

Things I Would Do If I Were A Billionaire:

Make sure my family was taken care of and didn’t worry about money anymore. Start a private montessori school that had a major focus on co-op and revolved around hands on learning.

Hey Kids Lets Make Eating Healthy Fun

Let’s go ahead and lay it on the table…. My kids are some kind of picky eaters. I have to be creative with their foods and make eating fun.

Imagine the smile on my face, when I received the Snacker Tracker in the mail a couple weeks ago to review. I actually screamed yippee… because I couldn’t believe it. I actually had something that could help spark more creativity with my girls’ foods.

This neat-o tracker lets you track each day what your child eats and lets them be involved to see what they should be eating each day. We don’t skip meals here, so after every meal now… Madisyn immediately goes to the fridge and sees which block needs to be checked. Then we discuss which blocks are left and where we should put our focus on the food groups for the rest of the day.

Also it is right on the tracker, the healthy snacks that you should eat during the day to make sure you are fulfilling all the food groups. To go along with the tracker, is a cool companion nutrition guide to help you as the parent see what your child should be eating each and every day. As you know.. how we feed our little ones today will shape the foundation of their future for their diets.
