Lyndsee doesn’t even have to say anything to me….Those eyes tell it all!!
New Season Brings Vacation Time
You know with the winter season finally coming to an end and spring fastly approaching, hubby and I have been talking alot about our vacation time. We sat down on the sofa last night with our laptop in hand and started viewing different parts of the country. We came across this site Rocky Point condo rentals
and I have to say I am impressed.
We are actually going to stay on our own Coast this year but are talking about venturing out possibly next year or the next to another country and Mexico happens to be on our list. The houses are beautiful and I was highly impressed with their specials they have. For instance
Pay for 2 nights get 3rd night free. Pay for 5 nights get 2 nights free.
Now… being the bargain momma I am.. I like seeing these kind of specials where you get nights free ;). We are definitely keeping this site in our favorites and you know Jen always having to pass on her deals hehe!
Have you ever been out of country on vacation and did you take the kids? Please share your experiences with me 🙂
Winter Returns
After an amazing week last week which involved two trips to the park with one good ole time picnic. There is nothing like a priceless moment sitting down to a good ole fashioned picnic with my girls and then letting them loose at the park. Of course mommy is right there every step they take… even if that means Jen has to climbed the little toddler stairs up to the top of the slide.. I will be there every step of the way ;).
Here are a couple picts of the girls enjoying the spring weather:
But.. all this fun in the sun came to an abrupt stop here in the mountains for us Saturday evening. That’s right a curve ball decided to send us one last (well I’m hoping) winter storm this season. I was so spoiled by the wonderful spring like weather last week, that the cold frigid temps and snow definitely caught me off guard, but I got my head back on straight and we let the girls enjoy a wonderful sledding time in the snow. Lyndsee prefers to stay away from the sleds but she sure does enjoy walking in the snow.
Madisyn on the other hand loves to sled to her heart is content.. stopping to get in that sneaky snowball to mom or dad or attempting to build a snow man with the powdery snow hehe.
So… let’s hoping that curve ball will remember that winter is officially over this week and will not throw us anymore wintry snowballs oops I mean curveballs 😉
Girls Growing UP
You know this weekend as I watched my girls, I felt a little sad. I can see them growing up into big girls now and the baby in them are going away :(. It makes me excited to see what brings us to the next step in our lives, but yet I will always yearn for my babies back. I know they will always be my babies but you know what I mean.
Madisyn is really into doing extracurricular activities now. We are signing her up for TBall next week. How exciting! She also wants to join dance and gymnastics for this summer. We will no longer have to pay preschool tuition so this will free up some funds for her to enjoy these activities this summer.
Well I know with dance she will need the dancewear. I came across the best blog post this morning with the cutest Dance skirts. I will indeed be getting Madisyn one. They are too cute!! Go here to check out what I am writing about. Katchy’s Kid Dancewear. Aren’t those just so adorable?
Anyways I know we will have our even more busier days now with the girls signing up for activities and I am excited about this next step in their development, but I still do miss the baby girls too. hehe.
My Four Year Old is Smart
HEHE.. Don’t we all think so and all our children are smart, but I just had to have bragging rights today. Madisyn had her Speech-Language Evaluation done today with the Speech Language Pathologist. Yes she does have problems with her P, B, and F Sounds. Which they are going to work with her on those sounds but her language skills.. she is right now on a 6 year old level. Can you believe that? She is so awesome.
They went on and on about how smart she was and couldn’t believe her language skills for just turning four. LIke if they would ask her a question on the test instead of answering in a sentence or one word she would answer in a descriptive paragraph almost. For example one question was, if icecream is cold what is fire? Well she of course said Hot but would not stop there. She would say yes fire is hot and then a fireman would come out take his hose point it to the house and put the fire out. While the fireman was putting the fire out there would probably be a kitty cat up in the tree watching him.
She was cracking me up with how she would answer the questions. They asked her why would a child cry? She said because their mommies would not lay in bed with them when they went nite nite. HEHE.. we still co-sleep of course and sometimes I will have her go to bed before me if I have a really demanding project due. I’ll kiss her and tuck her in, but it still makes her sad when I don’t lay down with her. Now these are on rare occassions that I do not lay down with her. Most all the time I lay down with both girls till they are asleep :). But by her answering that.. WOW this really effects her. I was a little sad by that :(….
Another question they asked her was name all the animals she could think of. Instead of saying like dog or cat.. she went into saying porcupine, zebra, giraffe, elephant and monkey. I was impressed by her knowing all them already.
Anyways, I just cannot quit smiling after all the MRI showing about the spots on her brain and then the preschool sending home a letter about failing her articulation speech. Here I was so worried and then how well she done today. Also Madisyn did not start talking till just past her 3rd birthday. Everything she said was chinese, but when she finally started talking it was like she couldn’t stop LOL. I’m one proud mom right now love.
Just had to share with you all since you have been so supportive through all of this.
