Mommy I’m Sorry

You never know what a day will be like at the Mommy Jen’s household hehe. Well this morning we had some sibling rivalry going on over a toy. The girls were fighting over a certain toy and neither one wanted to give it up. So Madisyn decides to slap Lyndsee to get the toy for herself. HA!

Well, Madisyn didn’t realized I seen her do this so I asked her: Madisyn did you just hit sissy. She said no mommy I didn’t. I didn’t hurt her. I being nice. Well mommy knew different and I just had a little talk with her about sharing and how hitting would not be tolerated. I went back to cleaning up the living room and about 5 minutes later Madisyn comes up to me and says Mommy I did hit sissy. I am sorry. But we are best friends again. It’s ok. That just melted my heart. It was like she truly understood that it was better to tell the truth.

The joys of motherhood.. I LOVE IT 🙂

On the note of the best friends too.. each day we will put our hands on top of each other and say 1 2 3… Best Friends and then we all lift our hands up and shout Forever. It is so cute and a daily routine of ours. I really hope we can stay this close and have a tight knit bond between my girls and I.

Mommy it’s going to be ok

Yesterday, one of my water glass jugs broke :(. I mixed my Sunrider fortune delight in this jug. Oh well… we can buy a new one right?

Well I placed the broken pieces into the trash bag to take out later. I come back to it to take out and there must have been a sharp piece sticking out the bottom when I picked the bag up and it cut my toe. OUCH. Blood starts to pour everywhere. I tried to be quiet so the girls wouldn’t notice me as I did not want them to freak. Madisyn saw me and said mommy what happened. I explained to her. She said ok mommy sit down. Let me go get you a band aid. I sat down on the bed. I had already put a wet washcloth on it to stop the bleeding. She was rubbing my arm saying mommy it is going to be ok. Don’t worry Madisyn is right here. She put the bandaid on carefully and kissed my forehead.

I just sat there and tears welled up in my eyes. It is amazing how much our children learn from us. I was truly touched that my 3 year old could take care of me like that. I love my girls so much!!!

My Babies Are Growing Up

Where is the time going? Can time please stop for just a moment? Let me relish in some more time with my girls. My girls are acting so grown up now and Lyndsee’s vocabularly is through the roof. She is talking the same as my 3 year old. They are of course best of friends. Here Lyndsee’s debut of her first single at Baby Talk Radio this week.

I was trying to dress Madisyn this week and she said mom.. I’m a big girl now I can do it. Boy did that ever slap me in the face. She is almost four but I never knew she would be so independent at this age. She loves to do everything herself. Fix her on sandwich, pour her on juice and milk. Also she has to get her sissy’s too.

Lyndsee is following in her footsteps as well. I know though in the mornings say when Lyndsee wants her morning poptart, she has to make sure and get “Adisyn” one too. Then she goes running to give it to her and they just hug. They are definitely close and love giving each other hugs.

We went school shopping last weekend for Madisyn a Dora Backpack and shoes to start preschool in soon. I got tears in my eyes, cause I know she will enjoy every minute of it, but I am so use to being with her 24/7. This will be a hard transition and making me think twice of putting her in school all day. Thinking more and more of homeschool lately unless I can find something else.

This was what was on my mind tonight and I wanted to write down my thoughts. As I sit here watching them sleep in the bed with me, it reminds me even more to please cherish these moments as they will not be little for long :(.

Our Fourth of July

I hope everyone had a great Fourth. We sure did. I thought the girls would be afraid of the fireworks, but no they sat there in awe the whole time watching them.

Just tells me they are growing up so much. Both girls have grew by leaps and bounds this past month. Lyndsee loves singing her ABC’s and twinkle twinkle little star. Madisyn enjoys teaching her little sister her numbers and abc’s, I see her future career as a teacher. God Bless Her hehe!!
Madisyn is all geared up and so stoked for preschool to start. She got to be in the parade with them for the Fourth of July. Let me show you some picts ;).

A Day Out With Thomas

Madisyn has been looking forward to this for two weeks now. She would ask everyday it if was time to go hehe ;).

Her eyes just lit up when she got to see Thomas. It was definitely a priceless moment.

We started out the day with the train ride. Lyndsee wasn’t too sure of the ride but Madisyn had a smile through the whole ride. She LOVED it.

After the train ride we made our way to the gift shop and got the girls some gifts and got to visit with Sir Topam Hat. That was neat. Madisyn didn’t want to go near him, just wave from a distance ;).

On to the wild and crazy rides. Madisyn has definitely got braver. She rode every singe ride there except the Ferris Wheel. Mommy didn’t think she should ride that ;). She had to ride the boats and airplanes twice. Everytime she would go past us while on the ride she was grinning ear to ear and just a waving. So precious and I loved seeing her having such a blast :).

We actually got her away from the rides for a little bit to go to the little zoo they have there. You get to feed the animals out of your hand. I definitely did NOT think Madisyn would have anything to do with the feeding. Boy was I wrong HA! She loved it and keep wanting more food to feed them. She got to feed the different deer and also the goats. At the end of the zoo, one of the goats got her whole icecream cone. She laughed so hard when that goat grabbed it.

To finish the day we made our last stop at the imagination station to grab a quick Thomas the Train tatoo and play with the different train tables. Lyndsee actually wanted out of the sling to play with Big Sister. Madisyn also had a good time building the blocks there. We stayed there for quite a bit and had to pry a train out of Lyndsee’s hand in order to leave the station.

For Madisyn being such a great girl the whole trip she got rewared with a big chocolate vanilla ice cream cone. YUMMY! As we were leaving the park she said mom and dad, I had such a fun day. I was so excited to see Thomas. Now comments like that are worth it all. Seeing them have such a wonderful time and us spending great family time is what life is all about :).
