Children Do Dream Big As Well

You know as parents we are always dreaming of what we want in life with years to come… it can be for real dreams, or just caught in the moment dreams, but do we step back and realize our children are dreaming as just as much as we do.

I love to wake up and be greeted with “Mom guess what I dreamed about last night” says Madisyn. Their little imaginations are going full blast right now and I can only imagine the wheels in their heads are just a turning during the day and at night when they are sleeping.

I dream big so I am able to push myself even harder to get what I want for my family, and I believe I am instilling that into my girls. We can’t just wait around for the world to offer us something, we really have to get out there and dream big and make it happen.

So Madisyn yes we will continuing to dream big and watch our dreams come true right before our eyes. Love you my first born 🙂

Organized Milk… For the Next Generation

You know with gas prices going higher and higher these days, it tends to have a wonderful (NOT) domino effect towards, truck drivers, which leads to higher food prices at the grocery store.

To make sure we are staying on our food budget each week, I have had to make some changes in our household. The organic milk that I was buying was 4.00 for a half gallon, so I thought I would try a cheaper brand of organic milk this week.

Well… I set out to do the taste testers with my girls. Lyndsee loved it… I think she just loves milk so much it doesn’t matter. Madisyn on the other hand took a couple sips, sat the cup down on the counter and looked up at me and said “Mom, I do not like this new organized milk that you bought” I had to think a minute, organized?? Oh… she means Organic milk. I had a good laugh out of that one.

So have you tried this new Organized Milk they have out ;).

I Want To Dye My Hair Too Mommy

Today on the spur of the moment run, my step-daughter and I decided to go back in time to our own roots.

Yes I am only in my late 20's and I am already going grey. Can you believe this? It was beginning to look really bad in the front and I was tired of trying to tame all the grey hairs… sooo we head to Target and get us some dye to do our hair.

My step-daugher went back to her natural black color like my youngest daughter and I went and did my natural dark brown color all over. All in all it looks really good on both of us.

BUT….. Madisyn wants to do her hair. I had to sit down and have a little talk with her and she still just said but mommy I just want to be like you and KK. She can really tug on the ohhh heart strings.

For now, I believe I will only let my five year old and three year old do this type of dyeing:

Cell Phone For a Five Year Old On Easter

Soooo… my Madisyn and I were in the kitchen this evening cooking supper. She is my little helper every evening. I love that she wants to be right there and help me every step of the way too.

Well we were just talking back and forth and I asked her… so Madisyn what do you think the Easter bunny will bring you in your basket Sunday? She said, I think the bunny will have me a cinderella castle, with white horses, then she looked at me and went: Mom you know I am getting older right? I said yes you sure are honey. She said I think the bunny should bring me a cell phone that is pink with rainbow sparkles on it. I just looked at her like, you are a little too young for your own cell phone babe.

When my husband came in this evening, I said ask Madisyn what she wants the bunny to bring her Sunday. He asked her and of course she told him the same thing. He said, honey you are much to young for one right now. She looked at him and said but daddy, I need to start practicing of how to dial the phone numbers. All the kids have one! Sigh!! She is only 5!

She cracks me up so much everyday with how she talks and yes I was laughing at this and thinking what do I have in store for me years to come. I mean HELLO, I didn't get my first cell phone until I graduated high school.

I was talking with a good friend on the phone tonight and her little boy will be 9 soon and she was telling me several kids at his school has them. What are parents thinking? Now I can understand the ones where you can program to just have your numbers in it, but still at 9 years old my children will be with me the biggest majority of the time. I mean come on, my oldest daughter is 5 and has never ever spent the night away from me. She even stayed at the hospital with me when I had my youngest daughter ;).

Month of Love – Girls Melt My Heart

Today I went to pick up Madisyn from school and noticed they had did a paper on If they were queen for the day, what would they do?

Madisyn's response was: I would want to dance with my dad.

Is that not the sweetest. I know the girls love them some daddy. I do love the relationship they share with each other.

Then while Madisyn was at school,

Lyndsee said mommy: Knock Knock

I said: Who's There?

Lyndsee: Apples

I said: Apples who?

Lyndsee: Apples and Oranges mommy and busted out laughing.

I couldn't help but laugh too. We were both cracking up. She just thought she had done told the funniest joke.
