Do I Have An Artist On My Hands
Madisyn loves to draw. She is always drawing. Thank GOD! we are out of the drawing on the walls stage with her though and she uses paper now hehe ;). Look what she just drawed. It is soo good and you can definitely tell what it is right?
Madisyn Student of the Week
I went into school to pick up Madisyn Friday evening and I couldn't find her. I freaked and yelled at the teachers "Where is Madisyn"… they said right here right here she hadn't came out of class yet. They said she has something to tell you. I looked at her and she gave me this bashful look and I said what's wrong Madisyn. I was hugging her. Her teachers were like go ahead Madisyn tell mommy. I lifted up her hands to see if she got a stamp, I said was you not a good girl today? This would be the first time ever not getting a stamp. Her teachers jumped in and said Madisyn not good? That will never happen. They said she is always good.
I was like ok the suspense is killing me, and Madisyn finally said mommy mommy I got student of the week. PHEW… nothing bad and it was GREAT NEWS. I was so proud of my big girl. I lifted her up and gave her the biggest hug and told her we would go home and go swimming and then out for some pizza to celebrate :).
She was so proud of her award and would not let go of it:
Here teacher said for being "Student of the Week" we get to make a poster board of pictures of Madisyn so it could hang up in class all week. Madisyn and I love doing craft projects together, so I went and got our supplies out of the closet and this is what we came up with. I got tears in my eyes just doing it with her, because where has my first born baby girl went to? She has grown up soooo much and is such a big girl now! Here is a picture of our little project:
With all of this talk of her being so good at preschool, I said Madisyn why do you get in fights with sissy at home and throw stubborn fits with mommy and daddy. She said mom, my brain messes up when I come home. LOL. She so cracks me up with what she comes up with. That's my Madisyn! Here are a couple picts I took of her outside today:
Of course I couldn't leave little sissy out of the picture hehe. I do have to share a quick story. She will be three in two weeks and has been talking sentences since she was 18 months old, but I never knew the backtalking would start soooo soon. Madisyn came and told me Lyndsee was coloring on their TV in their bedroom. I said Lyndsee why are you coloring the TV for? She said because I want to mommy! OMG… I think I was shocked, and laughing all at the same time. An almost 3 year old saying that? Here are picts of sassy pants hehe.
I love my girls so much. They keep life such a happy adventure and light up my world sooo much. Mommy loves you girls! Madisyn mommy is super duper proud of you too for doing so well in school.
In the Eyes of My Girl
To My Madisyn:
Madisyn you are everything I had hoped for and more. When I held you in my arms for the first time, I just cried but please know they were tears of happiness. I always wanted a baby girl and I couldn't believe my eyes of how beautiful you were in my arms. When you would look back at me my heart would just flutter, I was proud to be picked by God to be your mommy.
Over the years you have grown up so much, that I just don't understand where my baby girl has gone. I lay in bed at night rethinking the past times of your growing up and it just hurts me so bad to see some of those memories fading. I am so glad to have pictures and videos of you, but I still want that fresh memory in my head. Madisyn I LOVE YOU SO MUCH, and never ever forget that. I will never leave you and will always be right there on your journey with you.
I cannot believe how grown up you talk these days, its like you grew up over night and turned into such a big girl. We really do have adult conversations on a daily basis when you ask your wondering mind questions, such as mommy why does porcupines have spikes? You amaze me with the attention and detail you give to drawings and are always saying what a happy family we are. You know what though, we are happy because you are such a great big sister and daughter. Those big brown eyes will light up a room and just show the amazement that comes out of your heart.
If you see tears in my eyes, you are right there giving me a hug and making sure I will smile before you leave to go play. If little sissy gets hurt, you are first one there with a bandaid and your doctor kit to make sure she is taken care of right away. Your heart is so big nobody could even attempt to measure it.
I feel like you have a special soul inside of you because you are always thinking of others and want to make sure they are good before you. At dinner time you make sure daddy and sissy have their drinks before you will even sit down. Just another example of how you put others first. I LOVE YOU BABY GIRL.
I wish I could pause time and keep you just where you are, but that would be very selfish of me as I know you are just beginning and you will knock the socks off of this world in years to come. God has a special task for you and you are just being prepped for it now. I cannot wait to see how your life turns out as I know I will be one proud mommy.
Remember mommy is always here for you and I pray we will always be close and share that special mommy and daughter bond.
I LOVE YOU BABY GIRL.
With my warmest heart,
Mommy
Her First Bike Ride
You see my oldest daughter got her first bike for Christmas in 2005. LOL Yes you read that right 2005. So why is she just getting around in 2007 riding it.
Well errr Mommy lost the hardware pieces to the seat so it has sat in the garage for this long until I said last week… "almost two years is enough." My little girl WILL get to ride her bike. I went to find the correct piece but couldn't find it, so I had to buy her a whole new seat and they had them on clearance. The only thing it is black, but we are going to get some princess stickers to take care of that ;).
I had it all ready for her and surprised her Friday when she came home from Pre-K. Her facial expression was priceless when she saw her bicycle. She said mommy do I get to really ride it now. Yes my dear.. mommy is sooo sorry after two years you are finally getting to ride. She would stay on this bike morning, day and night she loves it so much. Here are some picts of her first time riding!
Also little sis had to join in on the fun too now that she gets to ride big sis's big wheels.
It takes me back to the times my brother and I use to run home from school and get on our bikes to go hang out with our friends. Our parents wouldn't see us till night fall. I would never let me girls do that now. Boy how times have changed ๐
