I was sent this YouTube video by email from a former co-worker of mine. It is amazing to see God’s work shine through this little girl’s vocals. Listen in and you will be blown away by this rendition of “Amazing Grace” on this beautiful Sunday Morning. God Bless!

New Spring and Summer Fashions for Our Kids
Now let me just say, I am not sure if any of your kids are like my youngest daughter L, but she is VERY PICKY when it comes to clothes. I was so spoiled with my oldest daughter M, as she is so laid back and loves pretty much all clothes that I pick out for her. This is so not the case with L. Some scenarios:
“Mommy, that is not beautiful enough.”
“Mommy, that color purple doesn’t look good.”
“Mommy, the kids in my class will not like that shirt.”
“But Mommy, Mrs. Teacher says she doesn’t like the color yellow.”
Those are just some of the conversations that we have in the mornings. I just smile and try to come up with a compromise. When I was first shown the new fashions for Garanimals, I was immediately took back. These were so not the Garanimals basic plain tees and shorts that I remember from seeing on my little cousins in the 90s. They actually have hip and style now… which I immediately thought, I wonder if L would really like this new style.
Just look at this cuteness:
When these arrived at our door, L immediately tore into the box with mommy and as I was holding my breathe at her reaction… she shouted “Oh mommy these are so beautiful, can I wear them now?” Well hallelujah, Praise the Lord… we have found a new line of clothes that L LOVES! She loved the bow on the skirt, the colors on the shirt and the bows on the shorts. BINGO… mommy was so happy. You know why mommy is so happy? Let me tell you! No matter which outfit you choose in the Garanimals Line, each item comes at a price-point of only $3.50 (varying slightly in different markets), so moms know most definitely that we are getting the most attractive and affordable clothing in kid’s fashion. Hey, if this achieves Picky L’s seal of approval, then you know your kids are so going to enjoy them.
Just look at how cute the boy’s line is:
Visit the Garanimals site to see more styles and info on where you can buy Garanimals in your area!
Full Disclosure: L was sent the girl’s styles above from Garanimals. This in no way had an effect on my review and L will totally let you know if she does not like a particular style ;).
He Is Risen
He is Risen Indeed!
What a beautiful and gorgeous weekend to celebrate our Great Lord’s Resurrection! He is Risen everyone… he is Risen. I am so happy to be a child of the Lord and let me tell you…. you could feel the spirit in the church as we ended the great church service with us all singing Because He Lives.
My precious little L, was so happy to be singing this with her mommy. She would hum along as I was singing. Just melted my heart and brought tears to my eyes. She would get louder and louder all the while just smiling away.
A cute L story was we were sitting in church and mommy forgot to bring a snack for her. She said “Mommy, I am hungry. The bible says you have to feed me.” Oh how it was all I could do to not bust out laughing so loud in the middle of the service.
We had such a wonderful Easter weekend with family. My step-daughter and her boyfriend were able to join in with us all weekend. We started out the weekend with a night of egg dye.
Saturday, we all gathered with the ever big Houck family and had so much fun. We all have been so sad since my beautiful Grandma’s passing and it was all so wonderful for us all to be together. This is how she would of wanted it exactly! There were lots of water pouring on people, silly string, water balloons, food and egg hunts. Such a glorious time.
Sunday, the girls were so excited to jump out of bed and see what the Easter Bunny had left for them. We so enjoyed a great morning service at church and then fun and fellowship at my parents house. Grilling on the grill for the first time of the year was just divine. The girls were so lucky to get to participate in Yay-Yay’s great egg hunts as well with some really cool prizes.
Overall… it was so great to not worry about work and just enjoy some good ole fashioned family fun all the while remembering our wonderful Lord! Hope you all had a wonderful Easter. If you blogged about your weekend… please let me know in the comments below so I can visit your post 🙂
Performing Is What We Love To Do
OMG She Did Not Just Say That
“Mom this is O M G (spelled out just like that)! A bull frog has laid 24,000 eggs in the rain puddle in our driveway… you have to come see this.”
That is what M come running into the house and yelling to me this week. I made my way to the door very curious of where she was getting we had 24,000 eggs in our driveway and proclaiming them to be bull frog eggs. I made my way to the driveway and oh my… I was not believing my eyes.
I come straight in and went to the old trusty Google and searched for bull frog eggs. I was not believing my eyes, when indeed what I just saw was bull frog eggs. For one, how did my 7 year old know what these were and I did NOT? For two, I totally did not need 24,000 bull frogs in my driveway making noises and driving me batty (it really doesn’t take much, for real). For three, why did the bull frog pick our driveway?
First things first, M how did you know they were bull frog eggs? Oh mom, we had bull frog eggs in our classroom and we did a worksheet where it says bull frogs lay 24,000 eggs at one time, so mom I know there is 24,000 eggs in our driveway.
The life of my biologist 7 year old. Me loves 😉
