Day in the Life

Lyndsee woke back up this morning around 3am again coughing so bad and with a high fever so we decided to not wait any longer and take her in. It seems nights are worser for her.

They confirmed it was indeed the Flu and no they didn't test me but said with all us having the same symptoms, we probably all have the flu.

I just worry with Lyndsee and her asthma. The ER dr said it is very widespread up here right now, so for us to just stay at home until we can weather this. Pray for us, it literally feels like your body is just UGGGH :(. 

We have all been hit with this hard. I literally feel like a sledge hammer has hit my body or something. Its all over the news here about the outbreak of the flu and then we live in a college town and they are saying its all over campus.

The one I am worried most about is Lyndsee. I just about took her to ER this morning around 3am. With her asthma and flu, that is not a good mix. I am going to keep a very close eye on her.

I believe its back to the couch… sigh! Is anyone else dealing with the flu this year?

I am declaring that the Year 2008 begins this week.  When I wrote my New Year blog post, I had no intentions of my year changing drastic turns right before my eyes, but it did and there is nothing I can do about that now. What I can do is start the New Year OVER ;).

I just have to say, the girls and I have logged more miles in the past 6 weeks than I think we have done in years HA!. And I have to say my girls have done so great with all the miles. You see our most grand car DVD player died that I would let the girls watch in intervals on long trips. This means they had to entertain themselves on all these trips and yes we had our bumps, but I couldn't be more proud of them.

It is 700 miles (12 hours) one way from Florida to NC and we have done that trip 6 times totaling 4200 miles and also that doesn't include the two 4-hour round trips to the Airport to take Daddy to catch his flight back to Florida. All this in 6 weeks time. I just have to say, my girls have helped me keep my sanity through all this time :).

During all these trips back and forth, our radiator has went out in our van, our battery died in the van, our air conditioner went out in the van, and then our back windshield just decides to shatter all to pieces while driving down the road. All this happens when our van reached the 75,000 mile marker to which brings the end of our extended warranty :(.  Then my desktop computer crashes and I lose all programs installed and my laptop dc jack goes bad 🙁

So when I say this has been one crazy 6 weeks, I am not lying hehe. But I do have to be grateful that we are all healthy and living :). Now if I can get over this part of living apart from my husband, then we will be doing good. I have faith we will all be back under one roof really soon and our NEW YEAR will be doing just fine from here on out. 

This is just a road block in life, and I can choose to let that road block take over my life, or guess what I CAN over take that road block and show them how strong I can really be.

My husband and I was talking this past weekend before he flew back to Florida, that when you have nothing and then take nothing away you are still left with nothing. So here we are at ground zero and all we can do is build up to ground 100 :).

Anyways, I have set back up show with my desktop computer and here to celebrate this New Year once again. The last 6 weeks were just a test right? ;).

I know I have been slack about getting to the other mom blogs I love and adore during this time, but I will be right back on board. I hope my readers are still with me. If you wouldn't mind to leave me a comment to let me know 🙂

I had recorded Polar Express on DVR when it came on about a week ago for the girls and I to watch. So last night when we got home we had a special mom and daughter's moment.

The movie was awesome and kept my girls attention the whole entire time. Good thing with DVR I did get to fast forward through the commercials hehe 😉
