Disney World is Coming To a Town Near You

We are huge Disney World fans as you know. It is actually saddening to know that we have Park Hopper tickets that run out May 31, and we are not able to go to Florida this weekend to use them. Disney is the place where magic and memories of a lifetime begin you know?

It is really ok though, as Disney World is going on tour. Yes, you heard me right. Disney is coming to a city near you and letting you create the memories right there in your city with their “Let The Memories Begin” Tour. A recent nationwide survey of U.S. and Canadian families found that vacation memories hold a special place in family history. Nine out of 10 parents said they planned vacations with the hope that they would result in a lasting family memory. In 2011, Disney Parks launched “Let the Memories Begin,” a year-long celebration of the family vacation memories created in Disney theme parks every day.

Believe me, some of our greatest family memories that have ever been created was at Disney World. We actually just come back from what my husband and I both proclaim as the Best Vacation Ever in March of this year. Now is your turn to create those memories as well at each of the following cities. Moms Fun New Part-Time Job To Do From Home

As many of you know, I have been a work at home mom since M was born 8 years ago. I just could not leave her when my maternity leave was over. My boss even gave me another week of leave to think about terms, and I just could not go back. I took a leap of faith and left my great income and we were down to only my husband’s income. I knew, as a month went by that I needed to do something and contribute to the household income. It was eating at me to not be bringing in any income as I am a very independent woman. The mission started and within 2 weeks, I landed my first work at home gig with Hotels.com. My career has grown by leaps and bounds ever since, but it has always been on my heart to help other moms work at home as well. Over the years, I have passed on quality jobs to other moms and today I am getting that chance once again.

Juice in the City is hiring moms and they are hiring moms in and around the Charlotte, NC area as well as cities all across the United States. Family Fun in NC – Greensboro NC Childrens Museum

New series starting here at One Moms World. NC has so much to offer from the mountains of NC all the way to the beaches of NC. My family is going on location to different areas in NC to provide a real family fun review and recommend places that you can visit all across the beautiful State of NC.

Our family travels took us over to Greensboro, NC to the Greensboro Children’s Museum. Oh my goodness, it was very hard to get the girls to leave the museum. I mean, they do close and the employees need to go home to see their families, so girls we really have to go. I promise we will be back. That is the conversation that we had to go over about 10 times, before the girls realized ok, we better go.

We were greeted at the front door by two wonderful ladies who are over marketing at the museum. They were very eager as the girls were as well to get the insider tour. Let me go ahead and tell you, you will need to map out more than 3 hours of your day, as there really is so much to do. As they note on their site:

The 37,000 square foot facility in downtown Greensboro includes over 20 permanent hands-on exhibits in “Our Town” and a new outdoor Edible Schoolyard that are designed to stimulate children’s imaginations and provide educational play experiences.

The “Our Town” was such a fun experience and really did show the girls what it is like for an adult in the day to day activities such as delivering the mail, going to the grocery store, preparing the weather, building a house, taking care of the babies in the nursery and on and on and on. Then in the state of the art, as this is the only one in NC, is their edible schoolyard. Yes, it is a garden where you can learn and plant, and then eat your own creations. Kids come after school and tend to the garden, harvest the crops and feed the animals. Can you move your feet to the beat

Grab your partner and swing them round and round. Wait, this is 2011, dancing has took on a whole new meaning. Could you move your feet to the beat? My precious M showed the world this weekend that she could. Specifically, the dance was called clogging. I am amazed each time I see M clog up on stage. All I keep thinking to myself is how does she move her feet so fast and not fall? Now, this is coming from queen of clumsiness who could fall over her own two feet by walking across the yard. Yes, my friends that would be me. My daughter did not get her dance moves from me, that is for sure.

M took to the stage and the smile on her face never left. She danced like she owned the stage.

She has clogged since she was 5 years old and she loves every minute of it. You can see her in the grocery store just clogging away while I am going up and down the aisles.

Let’s start this dance… get ready… here we go…

We could not be more proud of M and all that she has accomplished in her short 8 years. She amazes us each and everyday and she had two parents that had the biggest smiles on their face the entire time. We are a proud family, what can I say?

She is well on her way of becoming a star. Congratulations M on completing your third year of clogging.
