Dependent onto Independent

It seems like it was just yesterday that I was a first time mom and my world revolved around everything my baby girl did.

These last 5.5 years have shaped me so much as a person/mom and I am proud if I may say so myself of the beautiful independent little girl that has grown.

Madisyn is always talking about starting kindergarten and she just cannot wait. Here was our little conversation last night.

Madisyn: Mom it is only just a couple more months still I start big girl school

Mom: I know but don’t you think you should just stay home with mommy?

Madisyn: Mom I have to learn and it is not like I will be gone forever.

Mom: That is right, but I am going to miss you so much.

Madisyn: But mom learning is a fun experience for me and I will come back home just like daddy comes back home in the evenings.

Mom: But I can just teach you at home….

Madisyn: Mom no I want to learn with my friends at school, but its ok mom I still love you and will come back home everyday to you and give you a big hug.

Mom: Wiping away the tears and thinking my little girl is such a big girl now.

Hubbs was listening to this whole conversation and he kept looking at me to see how I was reacting. It is a bittersweet moment, but I know she will love school so much and I cannot wait to be a big part of her class each and every year. Also picking her up in the afternoons and having her run to me and giving me the biggest hug – PRICELESS!

Attachment Parenting Website for Sale

I have a couple projects in the works that I am going to be devoting a lot of my time too for the rest of the year.

Attachment Moms site has been my baby that started in 2005. I would love for it to go to a great owner that has the time to devote to it and really grow the Attachment Moms network.

It gets great steady traffic and still holding a Page Rank of 3 even though I have not been able to update it in over a year. If you have any questions, email me or if you would like to make an offer. I am open to all suggestions.

I Have a Story To Tell

MY STORY.

Hi, my name is: Jennifer

But you can call me: Jen

Never in my life have I: been more loved than now.

The one person who can drive me nuts is: Scott

My high school is: (was) Hibriten

When I’m nervous: I pace the floors and get anxious.

The last song I listened to was: Keeper of the Stars on Tishia’s Myspace page.

If I were to get married right now it would be to: I don’t do the polygamy thing sorry!

My hair is: just the way I want it to be.

When I was 4: I would beat up on my brother Jason.

Last Christmas: was hot… but we still had snowmen in sunny Florida ;).

I should be: working but decided to write out my story here.

When I look down I see: my legs.

The happiest recent event was: Madisyn telling me I was the best mommy ever.

If I were a character on ‘Friends’: my name would be Rachel.

By this time next year: I hope to be moved in our new house and ready to live out life to the fullest.

My current gripe is: not enough hours in the day.

I have a hard time understanding: why people are the way they are.

There’s these girls: that love me so much that it melts my heart.

If I won an award, the first person I would tell would be: Scott if he would answer his phone, then probably Nell or my parents.

I want to buy: the girls some new summer clothes.

Where do you plan to visit: this weekend, probably go to the beach again, but in the future Canada and New York City again.

If you spent the night at my house: you would be awoken to kids bouncing on you.

The world could do without: all the crazies that are tearing America apart. We need to live more green and peaceful.

Most recent thing I’ve bought myself: was two shirts and a skirt.

Most recent thing someone else bought me: hmmm… been a while I guess. Not sure.

My middle name is: Dawn

In the morning I: get up and fix the girls breakfast and chill to Noggin.

Last night I was: stressed.

There’s this guy I know who: drives me up the wall sometimes.

If I was an animal I’d be a: kangaroo

A better name for me would be: Jennie Poo (lol)

Tomorrow I am: working and then taking girls to the pool.

Tonight I am: going to finish client work and go to bed.

My birthday is: only a month away.

Having Fun in the Rain

Well… we wanted to have a little fun today before the big storms arrived this evening here in Florida. So, we set out for an adventure to the park. We had thought we could have a nice little morning with the girls going through all the activities at the park and have a fun family picnic lunch.

Mother nature had other plans and decided to bring the rain early and it started right as we pulled up. It was just lightly and we thought what the heck… lets let the girls go at it.

Then the rain starts really coming down and Lyndsee decides to have a blast running through it.

Madisyn decided to take cover and start posing under the slide’s cover.

The rain really started pounding and the lightning started so we figured we better get out of there. It was a little sad, because they were also having two birthday parties there and they were all having to take shelter.

It was fun though letting our hair down so to speak and letting the girls just have some plain ole fun in the rain 🙂

We Finally Tied the Knot after 6 Years

We are a married couple now! Of all the things that have went on in the past month, we both needed this in our lives.

We went to my uncle's house (he is in a preacher at a church here in NC that my parents go to) and performed the small ceremony there.

Madisyn our oldest daughter was smiling ear to ear through the whole ceremony, but Lyndsee our youngest just wasn't quite sure what was going on hehe ;).

I'm so happy and glad we finally did this. It has been a long time coming and something we needed to do ;).

Yes we did things a little backwards, had our two wonderful girls first then got married, but this will definitely a story to tell our girls when they get older and they see they were both in attendance at mom and daddy's wedding!
