Disney Says Winnie The Pooh Is Coming

Winnie The Pooh, Winnie The Pooh… doesn’t it take you back to your childhood days? Disney always has a way of doing that to us. Starting on July 15, everyone will be able to see their favorite silly bear everywhere in theatres.

Cute little spoof huh?

“Winnie the Pooh” reunites audiences with the honey-loving, philosophical bear and friends Tigger, Rabbit, Piglet, Owl, Kanga, Roo and Eeyore in a wild quest to save Christopher Robin from an imaginary culprit.

While we are counting down the days till July 15, try out these super cool children activities. Hey, you have to ward off the “I’m bored” comments somehow and why not with our favorite silly bear.

I am not sure about the rest of the country, but the heat is definitely on here in the Triangle area of NC. Oh my goodness, you cannot even walk out the door without feeling the high humidity and the sun in your eyes. The sun can do some major damage to your skin and your eyes.

Did you know that 7 out of 10 children don’t wear sunglasses when outdoors? That is not a good percentage at all. I am always pushing sunglasses on the girls when we are out as I know how the UV rays can really damage your eyes. We learn just how bad the damage can be in this week’s VSP Vision Care webisode.

Disney Creates a Hit With Cars 2 (Giveaway)

Disney has done it again, created another number 1 hit with Cars 2. My family had the pleasure of going to see the movie premiere a couple of weeks ago.

We loved the first Cars, so I knew this one would have big shoes to fill.

As you can see from the trailer, this Cars 2 is definitely more action packed. I wasn’t quite sure if L would sit through the whole movie, but she did. The girls and hubby seemed to really enjoy the movie, but I still think the first Cars is my favorite. This one is definitely more intense with the races but being the girly girl I am, I loved the red carpet scene overseas. You will totally laugh out loud with Tow Mater and the bathroom scene.

I will not spoil the movie too much, but definitely recommend you see the movie in 3D if you can. To keep the awesomeness going with Cars 2, I have a giveaway to one lucky reader.

Growing up, those three words were said many of times in my household. Now as a mom, I have passed those three short words onto my girls. Most kids love chocolate milk, but depending on the chocolate that you give them, there could be very little nutrition value. This is why, Ovaltine is always welcome in our house. Ovaltine is healthier in my opinion and Nestle just took it even further to make Ovaltine more healthier for families.

I am so proud to announce that Ovaltine is hitting the shelves improved by having all artificial flavors removed and only colors from natural sources are used in the product. Oh and it does not stop there, Ovaltine now has 12 vitamins and minerals. So if your child asks for more chocolate milk, you will not feel guilty saying yes. The three flavors are Classic Malt, Rich Chocolate and Chocolate Malt.

As soon as the new and improved versions arrived at our door, I had to immediately do a taste test with the girls. M loves the Rich Chocolate and both L and I are loving the Classic Malt. Hubby is a tough one to win over and was not a huge fan of Ovaltine before, but I mixed up the Rich Chocolate for him to taste test…. and he LOVED it. In fact, he said: “I actually really like this now.” So there you have it, a difference in taste can be found, but it is a positive difference.

How to save money on groceries

As I have become such a tech geek mom, I am always searching online to see what kind of deal I can find so I will not have to pay full price for a particular item that I am needing/wanting. You can use coupons correctly and not go to the extremes as shown on the TLC Extreme Couponing. This show shows people going way to far with coupons and they do not realize their habits are going to limit us regular folks using coupons. Businesses are already limiting people to 20 coupons per shopping trip.

My husband always tells everyone that Jen’s motto is “Never pay full price.” Just how big of a discount can one get? It is totally up to the person on how much searching and time you want to spend. Lucky for us moms, there is a website that you all are going to love.

A group of bloggers collaborated on a project to help us moms spend less time searching for coupons. My Coupon Database allows you to search for a particular grocery coupon.

As stated on their website it is a:

Searchable database of all printable, newspaper insert, magazine coupons and e-Coupons available.

I will write out my grocery list each week now and then go to the coupon database on SavingsLifestyle.com website to type in the products on my grocery list to see if there is a coupon that I can print out. You might say, “well I would rather not sit there and search for each grocery item individually.” No problem at all. The coupon database allows you input multiple keywords separated by a comma with their multiple search functionality.

This database has saved me so much time each week and allowed me to actually save more money. Go give it a try and see how you fare 🙂
