For as long as I can remember, Christmas always included Hickory Farms. When I was a little girl and my dad would come through the front door with a Hickory Farms basket, I would run as fast as I could to him. I always loved seeing what types of cheese and jelly would be in the basket. It wasn’t until I was older that I started loving the meats and nuts in the baskets.
Hickory Farms has become a tradition for my family. My girls this past weekend, opened up our basket and cut slices of cheese and meat. We sat down in the living room and snacked while watching a Christmas Movie. It was perfect. Time please stand still.

For more than 60 years, Hickory Farms gifts have been a classic holiday tradition that brings family and friends together. The baskets are perfect for a holiday gathering. The packaging is beautiful and includes many different varieties of foods that everyone enjoys this time of year.
This year Hickory Farms is available in 700 holiday stores and kiosks across North America, as well as in select retailers. I am pretty giddy we have a store this year that opened up in our local Tanger Outlets. Make sure to stay connected with Hickory Farms on Facebook and Twitter to stay on top of all the Holiday deals.
How would you like to win a gift basket of your own? You are just in luck! Hickory Farms has graciously told us we could give one lucky family a gift basket (the one shown in the picture above).

When I was a little girl, my dad worked for a large company and some of their clients routinely gave certain employees who they’d worked with closely Hickory Farms baskets or boxes for Christmas. Any time Dad would bring home something he’d gotten at work that day, we all descended on him to check out the yummy things in there. Loved the cheeses and nuts, especially! I actually haven’t had any in years, but what a great reminder some now would be. ๐
My dad loves these baskets so we always try to make sure he gets one at Christmas. We used to love it when he would open it and slice up the cheese so we all got some!

I remember well the TV commercials that made me want to go shopping in the mall for Hickory Farms yummy choices. The one that was always my favorite was Santa needing help with his long shopping list & tasting the thin meats that the lady showed him. And remembering that the Santa who played the part, was “Otis” the actor from the Andy Griffith show…Hal Smith. I love the way Hickory Farms let you taste try the many cheese choice bites with toothpicks they have before you buy. Gave you a nostalgic feel and got you into the gift giving spirit
