Here lately I have been run run run Jen… I thought it would be neat to share a day in the life of Jen. This is how our day went today.
9:00am The girls and I wake up for the day
9:30am I start breakfast for the girls and I. The girls like simple, but I’m on a new diet so it involves some cooking HA!
10:00am We are finished with breakfast and the girls want to paint. I lay out newspapers and get the water and paint ready. Grab some paper and the girls have a hay day painting pictures.
10:40am I clean up the lovely craft project mess and they want mom to read a book ;). We sit down and read a couple of the library books we went and got last week.
11:00am I let them watch a couple of the DVDs in my home office while mommy gets some work time in. They don’t really pay attention the DVDS as they are busying playing house with their babies and play kitchen. I love hearing them in the background playing.
1:00pm I get to a good stopping point and we go down and grab a quick lunch and I clean up real fast and get the girls dressed then get myself dressed and out the door we are.
1:45pm I am starting the van and driving down the road. First stop is paying the lovely water bill ;). Then we drive to Madisyn’s new Pre-K School and I get her enrollment papers and talk to the school officials for a bit.
2:10 Leave the school and head over to treat the girls to some yogurt. I order for the girls and then we go outside on their deck and I sit and chit chat with them while they are eating. Nice time and helps to get a break from the house.
2:30 Run by the store and pick up some last minute things for the easter party I am putting on at Madisyn’s preschool. Chase my two year old through the store as she loves to run from me and pick up everything in sight all the while I am making sure Madisyn is right beside me too 😉
2:50 We are finally out the store and on our way home. PHEW!
3:00 Get home and let the girls play outside why I set on deck watching the girls and I am filling the easter eggs with goodies that will be used for the easter party tomorrow. Madisyn decides she wants to help. I said no hun let mommy. Then she proceeds into a song.. “My mommy is filling easter eggs for my preschool. I want to help her but she will not let me…” Talk about guilt trip 😉 hehe… so she helps me and it actually works out well and we get done faster.
3:45 Head into the house and get some water and juice for the girls. Put a load of laundry on. Take a breather and decide its time to get some more work done.
4:00 to 5:00 girls play blocks and color while I squeeze in another hour of working time on the computer for my clients.
5:15 Hubby calls he is coming home. I better get supper started.. Ring Ring a client calls and wants to discuss some things about her website. Ok.. I can cook and talk at the same time hehe.
5:45 Supper is done and Hubby walks in the door.
6:15 Get done eating.. get the dishes washed and put away… put the load of laundry in the dryer.
6:45 Hubby takes over with the girls and mommy sneaks away to work out at the gym.
8:00 Return.. one child is asleep the other is wide open LOL.. We all sit down and watch American Idol together.
9:00 Get girls washed off and PJS on.
9:30 Let them wind down with books and a dvd. Mom finishes up the goodie bags for Madisyn’s easter party tomorrow.
10:00 Lay down with the girls till they go to sleep.
10:20 Talk to hubby and give him some time with me. We discuss the day.
10:50 Head back to the home office and put in work for the rest of the night.
WOW… I can’t believe all that I do in a day. Work at Home Mom’s sure do earn their keep that is for sure. How is your day’s hectic, busy, more laid back.. etc. Please share!

That looks a lot like our days except I’m up at 6:30 and in bed much earlier than you. And I probably have to do a lot more cleaning since I have 4 lol!
