I know everyone is probably up to their eyeballs in all this election stuff.
I just really want to say to everyone, to please stop all the slandering of either candidate and sit back and do the research you need for both candidates. Also actually take time to watch the conventions that are going on. The republican convention is going on right now. I am watching and yes, I did watch the democrat convention last week.
These emails or postings in the online world that are going around with false information is so misinforming to others that may not know to look up the information to see if it was true or false. You can go and do a quick search at www. snopes. com to see if stuff is either fact or fiction.
I have really did the research on the candidates online and offline and to align with all my beliefs, yes I am pulling for the McCain/Palin team, but I am not going to go around bashing Obama and his staff. This is our country people, lets stop the bashing and let others make their own personal choice based on their research and their beliefs.
I just want you all to do the same and vote for the best one that aligns with your beliefs and not base your vote on emails or what he said she said stuff. Also, if you are still having a problem of picking your candidate then pray about it. God really helped me with signs that I were looking for.
America does need change and if we all pull into together and make wise choices about life, we can change it one person at at time :).

Amen! The bashing and jokes and name calling need to stop. It’s time for everybody to grow up. Present your side. Agree to disagree. And know God’s got it under control. ๐

Totally agree with you! Seems as though it’s mostly media and online people who are doing the bashing…even Obama told people to leave the families out of the bashing.
How did our political scene become this way? I understand pointing out the faults of the candidate but for many years now it’s been downright nasty campaigns.
And we are all entitled to our opinions and right to vote for whomever we want without getting insulted. That’s what makes this country great…

The bashing of Obama and his staff by the right wingers that is what is making me vote for Obama. The right has been bashing Obama for months making stuff up about how he doesn’t salute the flag, he is a Muslim, he in cohoots with terrorists, and he is the anti-Christ. Now they are mad that Palin is getting bashed? It is called karma.
I anything God has shown me how hypocritical the party that supposedly has is backing is.

Shannon and Christina, I couldn’t agree more! Thank you all for your words.
Tiffany, if you notice in my blog post, I was not just talking about the Palin Bashing. I am talking about the Obama Bashing as well. Obama actually had my vote up until a couple weeks ago from when things have changed up in the parties and after doing more thorough research. So I am not going to bash either parties.
It’s your choice who you choose to vote for. All I ask is to make sure you are doing your own research and not listening to all the bashing that is going around on all sides.

I think it’s sad that anyone would vote for a party simply because the other side is bashing them. ๐
I agree with you Jen. But sadly this just seems to be par for the course. I think the one area that should be laid off totally is the children and I’ve only seen that with Palins family. Makes me sick.
Tiffany says
You didn’t mention the Palin bashing I agree…the timing is just odd…after Palin starts getting bashed as opposed to 3-4 months ago when the bashing started. Dems have been putting up with it for MONTHS now.
Nell, the bashing solidified it for me. The “christian” political group is showing their true colors. But I would likely have voted for Obama anyway because I believe in CHOICE…not legislating my morals or religion and making everyone else follow suit. God gives us the choice…he never commanded us to try and take choice away from other people as the Republicans are trying to do.

It would be wonderful if everyone could close their mouths and open their minds and hearts regarding this election. I know that I have been taking it to prayer big time as this is NOT an easy one!

Amen, Jen. We watched some of the conventions – mostly when the candidates themselves spoke – and plan to watch the debates. I want to see/hear things for myself not someone else’s interpretation after the fact. I honestly don’t know which way I’m voting yet; we’ll just have to wait and see.
