One in 4 Americans has allergies or asthma! That’s insane!
oops, I mean one in 5 (typo) but still insanity!
Being an asthmatic myself I already knew this but great to point out: “Allergens are often referred to as “triggers” for allergy and asthma, because they “set off” allergic reactions. “
The annual cost of allergies is estimated to be nearly $7 billion. I had no idea how expensive this was.

I love that they have an Allergen Center. I used that to find out that oak pollen is the first in my area.
I learned that since I have allergies, my daughter has a 1 in 3 chance in having them too.

Many common allergens begin as “airborne allergens.”
I learned that 59% of surfaces in home can be contaminated with the Flu virus!!! That is crazy. I am a huge Lysol fan. I have a baby and this would be great!
the cdc says that disinfecting your home is a great way to keep your family healthy
I was VERY surprised to learn that approximately 10 million people are allergic to cat dander, the most common pet allergy! Since our house is shared with 4 cats, I guess I I am going to have to start spraying and wiping EVERYTHING down!

To control Pet Allergies use HEPA filters. Try a vacuum bag with a filter, and also place a HEPA filter in the bedroom. Thank you!

Allergy is the 5th leading chronic disease in the U.S., and the 3rd most common among children under 18 years old.
An interesting allergens fact is
Many common allergens begin as “airborne allergens.” They float through the air and can be breathed in, causing symptoms. These airborne allergens land on surfaces, too, and cause an allergic reaction when an allergic person comes in contact with them.
