Thursday morning when I was making my rounds on CNN to read the latest news as I do, my eyes bugged out and I was hoping I was reading wrong.
Steven Curtis Chapman’s little daughter had passed away in a tragic accident. Ever since my youth group days at church I have loved loved loved his music and always knew how much of a family man he was. He loved his children so much and you could always tell that.
Just watching this video blog of Steven and Maria just shows you the bond he had with his children.
Madisyn my oldest daughter who is also five and I watched this about 3 times together. I was holding her so tight and kept telling her you know mommy loves you so much Madisyn. I just didn’t want to let her go. You just never know from day to day…..I do know, I hope this brings even more awareness that all vehicles need back up sensors so much.
RIP Maria… I know you are flying high with the angels!!!

It was so sad when I heard about this. I can’t even begin to imagine what it must be like dealing with something as horrific as this. And it makes me stop and think about how precious my son is and how I need to stop taking so many things for granted.

I have a five year old also and I was crying most of the day and also while I was posting on this tragedy a couple of days ago. We did one of his songs for special music om Sunday and there were a lot of tears in the congregation. It is a reminder to appreciate all of the moments we have together.
