Summer time is here and Wendy’s is spoiling us with a new salad. As soon as the heat starts rising outside, I am all about some salads and fruit. Wendy’s put the two together and have came up with a delicious and healthy Berry Almond Chicken Salad.
I have been on a nut kick lately, so Wendy’s already had me by adding fruit and then adding almonds, I knew I was going to love this salad. I was able to take the family to Wendy’s Saturday and try the salad first hand.
The picture can actually speak for itself right? Go ahead and admit that the salad looks so tempting! The blueberries and strawberries on top of the lettuce is so refreshing and delicious. Top it with the raspberry vinagerette, then add in the roasted almonds, asiago cheese and grilled chicken and this salad has become my new favorite summer salad. The ingredients mix so well together and are so good for you. Lots of natural foods that will leave you feeling so satisfied.
We had big plans to let the girls get kids meals and go enjoy a picnic outside, but the weather just wasn’t cooperating while we were in Charlotte for Memorial weekend. That didn’t stop us from indulging in the food though, except the girls were all about their minute to win it kid meal toys 😉
I am very proud of Wendy’s for going outside the norm and creating a healthy salad that incorporates protein, vegetables and fruits. I only got the 1/2 salad which is 7 points on Weight Watchers and I definitely felt satisfied from just eating the salad. Two thumbs up from this healthy journey mom!

Once a month, a group of four of us women, get together for dinner and a movie. This would be the perfect dinner for this hot weather. I would gladly treat!
