Grab your family and head downtown Raleigh, NC to have fun celebrating our beautiful Planet!
This year will mark the 4th annual Planet Earth Celebration. This year’s free celebration will be on Saturday, April 16th in and around the N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences and at the State Capitol grounds from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., come rain or shine, in downtown Raleigh.
The festival celebrates sustainability and provides information on ways families can show their love for the Earth and make eco-friendly decisions in their daily lives. It’s a day filled with local music and food, fun events for the whole family and valuable information about sustainability and its importance to the community. You will be able to connect with over 100 local organizations making North Carolina and the Piedmont one of the greenest places to live. This is just one of the many reasons why I LOVE living in North Carolina.
You will also have the chance to e-recycle. Bring your old electronics and the Planet Earth Celebration will find a new or safe home for all of their parts, ensuring that hazardous materials stay out of our landfills!
There will be plenty of food served as well so you will not walk away hungry. Click here to find out more about the events during the day and all the exhibitors that will be present.
