I am not sure about the rest of the country, but the heat is definitely on here in the Triangle area of NC. Oh my goodness, you cannot even walk out the door without feeling the high humidity and the sun in your eyes. The sun can do some major damage to your skin and your eyes.
Did you know that 7 out of 10 children don’t wear sunglasses when outdoors? That is not a good percentage at all. I am always pushing sunglasses on the girls when we are out as I know how the UV rays can really damage your eyes. We learn just how bad the damage can be in this week’s VSP Vision Care webisode.

Now that Dev is older I can get him to wear sunglasses, but it use to be a pain. Chan on the other hand loves to wear his to be like his big brother. 🙂

I always wear sunglasses outdoors.
We really encourage our kids to wear sunglasses. What drives me nuts is that they often scratch them or loose them.
