Congratulations to comment #27 Nanette for winning the Designer Sunglasses.
Did you know that every 13 minutes a child goes to the emergency w/ an eye injury most likely related to sports? It is very shocking right? VSP Vision Care is releasing their second webisode series called “EyeFiles” today to help educate families more on how important it is to take care of our eyes. I am so happy to partner with them this summer to help spread the word. Eyesight is always on my mind since when I wake-up in the middle of the night trying to fumble my way to the bathroom because I cannot hardly see without my glasses (who is with me here). I want to take all the proper steps with my girls to try to ensure they will have healthy eyes.
I am so excited to share with you the first show in the webisode is all about Sports Vision. I am a proud sports mom, and I will admit, it never occurred to me the high number of sports vision emergencies. Take a moment to watch this short video and let’s see how we can help our kids know when to wear the proper eye equipment.
Question and Giveaway Time:
1. What one question would you ask VSP Vision Care after watching the video? Leave a comment below in the comments section with your question and you will be entered to win a pair of designer sunglasses. (MSRP up to $200)

It states that once children start school they should have an eye exam yearly. Are the eye exams given at school by the nurse yearly sufficient? Thanks!

My question would be….at what age do eye problems most likely show up in children and babies…would it be early infancy, toddler stage, or later?

I know there are obvious signs that your child can’t see well, during sports and at school, but I’d like to know if there are other more subtle signs that your child may be struggling to see well….and beyond plain issues with perfect vision, are there other eye problems a parent should be watchful for?
And thanks so much for the chance to win!
