Congratulations to comment #27 Nanette for winning the Designer Sunglasses.
Did you know that every 13 minutes a child goes to the emergency w/ an eye injury most likely related to sports? It is very shocking right? VSP Vision Care is releasing their second webisode series called “EyeFiles” today to help educate families more on how important it is to take care of our eyes. I am so happy to partner with them this summer to help spread the word. Eyesight is always on my mind since when I wake-up in the middle of the night trying to fumble my way to the bathroom because I cannot hardly see without my glasses (who is with me here). I want to take all the proper steps with my girls to try to ensure they will have healthy eyes.
I am so excited to share with you the first show in the webisode is all about Sports Vision. I am a proud sports mom, and I will admit, it never occurred to me the high number of sports vision emergencies. Take a moment to watch this short video and let’s see how we can help our kids know when to wear the proper eye equipment.
Question and Giveaway Time:
1. What one question would you ask VSP Vision Care after watching the video? Leave a comment below in the comments section with your question and you will be entered to win a pair of designer sunglasses. (MSRP up to $200)

What is bad about requiring all sports activities to wear some sort of protective goggles or eyewear?
If it is recommended that children start seeing the eye doc at 6 mons, HOW can you do the exam with a very difficult toddler at 2 years??? I have twin 8 month olds and a 2 year old and never thought about having theirvision tested, mostly because of how I think they would react. What can you do to make it a painless exam for everyone? thanks! farrah dot ritter at gmail dot com

Okay my question is: I would like to know what this company thinks about soccer goalies and glasses. My 15 yo son is a high school goalie. He wears glasses. I’m debating between contacts and just new eye gear made for sports! Would love some professional advice, I know soccer goalies are at high risk for eye injuries, at least that is what my son’s coach told me.

Is there an age that you should reach before having lasik done?
What kind of lenses are recommended for kids? Any specific type or same as what you recommend for adults?
Thank you for a great giveaway!
i would ask if it’s ok to wear glasses just when you want to see them instead of all the time, or if that will lead to faster decline in eysight

Is having your eyes dilated at an eye exam necessary – if you choose not to, what are you compromising?
I’d ask their opinion of Lasik surgery for athletes.
Does not wearing glasses or contacts sometimes hurt your eyes? Or does wearing them all the time weaken your eye site? If I am home on the weekends I usually don’t wear my glasses or contacts.
Pros and cons of wearing contact lenses. Thanks for the giveaway.
what are the best type of glasses to get for a five year old? ( he’s into soccer)
twitted giveaway as avegian10
i would ask what age is too young for contacts
Is there a type of eye problem lasik is not recommended for?
To VSP – What is the best color tint to use in sunglasses for outdoor sports activities? Thanks
My question is “do you have any advice on how to get a 2 year old to wear his glasses?” My 2 year old just got glasses, and sometimes he just plain doesn’t want to wear them. Thanks for the contest! goldilocssweeps (@) gmail(dot)com
