They way I make it fun with my independent 3 year old is that I will sing one of his favorite songs (right now it’s Santa Clause is Coming to Town) while I brush his teeth and if he holds still while I brush them during the entire song, then he will get to brush his own teeth after I do. He loves the deal and actually looks forward to brushing his teeth!

I don’t actually need anything silly to get my ids to brush for longer, they love brushing their teeth! To the point that my 2 year old can be found at random times during the day, in her bathroom, brushing her teeth.

I sing “Happy Birthday” to get them to brush during the song.
I always allowed my boy to stay up a little longer to look at books if he did all he needed to do to get ready for bed.

I never really had any routine. She was actually pretty easy to get to brush her teeth. I think it’s because she felt like a grown up or something.

We had no silly routine. She would tell me that she would hum happy birthday to herself.

then we just repeat the verse a few more times till the job is done.
Funny when they try to sing while brushing and spitting.

I used to have to hold them down. lol! I got my daughter her favorite toothbrush now she gets excited to brush

No silly routine, but my kids loved picking out new toothbrushes and that helped to get them to brush.
I sing songs to get them through their tooth brushing…like ABCs..songs that will last awhile 🙂
When I’m babysitting my nieces we don’t have a silly routine while brushing teeth but I do promise them a bed time story of their choosing if they don’t fuss about brushing teeth! 🙂

We make faces at each other in the mirror and use an egg timer , IDK, the kids like to think their on a deadline
No kids for me, but I totally like the idea of playing a song that you have to listen to all the way through before you’re done

actually i dont have a routine, my kids love brushing and would do it for at least 10 mins if i let them which becomes a bedtime problem at times…yikes… 🙂

When my Godson stays with me, I get him to listen to his fave song to make sure he brushes the proper amount of time lol

I would sing abcs or twinkle twinkle while they brush.
I can’t wait to try this for when my grandsons come to visit. They really don’t like minty toothpaste, so I’m hoping this will get them to brush more!

My little cousin who I babysit all the time loves to brush her teeth. Maybe because I’ve been telling her if she doesnt they will all fall off. LOL! We usually act like we’re doing the hulla loop while brushing her teeth.
