A beautiful day is coming up this Sunday. I have been hearing snippets of conversations of moms talking about what they really, really want for Mothers Day. They range anywhere from jewelry, to breakfast in bed to sleep. Moms live a busy life, I know this but does our husband’s always remember this?
This is what I do not want for Mothers Day!
I do not want pots and pans, as I am not your personal chef!
I do not want a vacuum, as I am not your house maid!
I do not want a gym membership, as I am not fat!
I do not want flowers, as they will just die.
I do not want sex, as I just want to sleep!
I just really want a relaxing day with homemade goodies from the girls, no sibling fights, technology turned off and just enjoy the reasons why I am a mother. M & L.
It is that simple and what I am truly looking forward to ๐

I love this! When my kids would ask me what I wanted for mothers day.. my answer is always “Love, peace & quiet”…LOL

I love it Aurelia! Love, peace & quiet :). Great motto!

How about this one — “I do not want a power washer because, well, a power washer is a really crappy Mother’s Day gift!” (Guess what I got for Mother’s Day last year? lol) ๐
Jen says
No you didn’t! Ok… Shannon, your hubby has a lot of making up this year ๐

This is great Jen!

I have to laugh because I would love pans (that I picked out) for a gift. In fact, do you know what I’m asking for (and getting)? Seatbelts. Two years ago the dog ate the seatbelts in the very back seat of my car. We don’t use those seats much, but when we do I’m frustrated because they are a hassle to buckle. And I’m asking for my car to be detailed so there is no more dog hair ANYWHERE in my car.
But I do take your point and I agree. The best days are spent with the kids and my husband just enjoying each other’s laughter. Have a great Mother’s Day!
